This will be our main thread regarding st0rmgaming servers. Any questions or info will be offered here.

What went wrong and how all servers ended up closed ?

St0rmgaming had 3 lineage servers which were Bartz, Sieghardt and lionna. Willo the owner (17 years old!), simply did not pay for the hosting provider services and ended up with a suspended account. He also lost the domain name st0rmgaming.com because it was registered with the same host << Not a smart thing to do willo >>

So the whole network went down because of a 17 years old kid, who spent the donators money buying a car, renting a hocker... you never know

Now that everything has cooled down, I heard that Wilo came out from his hiding place and going to re-build/re-open the gaming servers.

I personally think its a big joke and anyone who would play on these servers would be a complete idiot ! You can't steal the donators money and run away, then come back to start all over again.

Im sure that Jade (Head GM) has left the staff because of this, which is a smart move to do. She is the one who has to do all the work, while all the donators money went to Wilo's paypal account.

She's the one also who had to take all the heat from the players when the network went down and Wilo ran away and was no where to find until now.

Im sure you all have moved on and found many servers to play. My advice is to avoid going to st0rmgaming servers at all cost. You will be wasting your play time on a server that will crash any second. If you do play it, don't donate any money to this scammer called Wilo. Once he has a few hundred bucks in his paypal account, he will run again with the money and leave the staff to deal with the players.

WHOOHA!!! This I didn't know... LOL!!! Ripoff by a stupid kid??? Damn, that hurts. From my opinion: Although I never donated to St0rm, I'm still sorry for it. Need a business? Build a good server, collect the donations and get lost. Too bad this is called stealing.

Hey Rami, I still have to give you 1 EAS ans 1 EWA on St0rm, Bartz... How can we sattle that? LOL. And a few mil Adena aswell you gave me when I started there... :)

But seriously. A 15 year "old" kid? That's lame. I can imagine what his parents are like. Anyhow, I'll probably punish him for about 5-6 years. At least untill he will be old enough to be a little bit more responsable.

Well, before the server went down with three months, i was discussing with CrazyHuman what subclass should be the seconde for my char and he told me that i should not donate becuase the server will no longer be online after 3 months :confused: i asked him, how come he know that the server is going down after 3 months, he said that Entity told one of his friends and he knew from him, i did asked Entity and Girl (Jade) about that and they said they dont have any idea, funny how the server went down and Willo start begging for donation for a little while and then disapeared :eek:

I suppose it may be late for me to comment, or re-open this thread, however I am choosing to do so.

Many of you know me, I would assume, or did know of me in our past encounters, I normally play a dwarf or a human mage either named Cute, or Girl.
Other servers I go by the name ducky.

I was, and am once again, the Head GM for St0rm Gaming.
The old website, yes it is true, was shut down due to failed payments.

The website was, as you say, shut down due to donation issues with the founder, Wilost0rm.
It was not proven, simply speculated, that he used the funds for other reaons. (There is some proof, and I will fully stand behind the fact that in some areas it did occur as that I have, and had, full access and or record to all funds both in and out of the server till, toward the end, I lost access and that is when the server began to go down).

The main reason the server was shut down is due to an over zealous move by Wilost0rm. Against my better wishes, and pleading of him not to continue his desire, he bought and paid for 30 web boxes (yes 30) to be used to sell for CS Servers.
As I warned not many purchased the servers, and we were then in the hole forcing myself to scramble for funds in order to counter the error which I knew would come.
As I told he, at the time, I would be unable to get the required amount in due time (I believe it was around two thousand, and by this point there was a back up balance of well over six thousand dollars USD on the account).

As a result the boxes were shut down, all but the Lineage II linux server which was kept online as a means to still precure donations in order to, perhaps, pay the debt. My staff and I discouraged all donations as that, in the end, we cared more for our players then that of the server.
I apologize, to all of you who donated on our behalf, for the loss of the server, and your commitment toward it.

The server is once again online, and we have come back, a new, to start over.
You may agree with your Admin not to follow to the server, for, as one may say, reasons true told. You might consider it foolish to return somewhere, as they say, "screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me", however, for whatever reason, I and my main staff have returned.

Aca, I will defend, is not that bad of a developer. You may considered his actions poor, but that may only be because in the background he put up with a good share of wilo's requests and demands of what to do. The network was kept online mainly due to the contributions of Aca20031. You owe him an apology as that it was not his fault, entirely. That is my opinion.

The server is currently a temp server with a max of 50 players till, and if at time, we acquire more.
I have kept back ups of our old server so that I would not lose all that we worked so hard to achieve.
Decisions have begun, and talks of what might come, to re-instate the old database on a separate server other then the current one (bartz) that is online.
They have not decided what they will do, as of yet, but it is in the play.

If the server is restored it will be like it was before the crash.


I believe you are right to be weary of where you donations go, however, a new paypal account has been created. A separate bank account, other than the direct deposit into Wilost0rm's bank account.
We, my staff as well as Aca20031, have considered creating our own bank account, to which Wilost0rm has limited access to, in order to govern that the money simply goes to the upkeep of the Lineage II server alone, but, like previously mentioned, this is still in the "planning" phase.


If you return to us, you are most welcome and we will be happy to see your faces again.
We, the staff, look forward to a new beginning away from the misery and hard times of what occurred before.

Well, late is better than never.

This is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw your post and it seem's we think alike !

When I saw that the situation was out of control. THIS forum was created in order to help players stay on contact and stay updated. I was getting daily emails and pm's regarding what will happen next. I managed to get you on msn once and you told me, your tring your best. I said get the server back and I will get the players back !

I waited for months as well as many players did but nothing came out. Until st0rm.net was created and I joined the mIRC channel to get an update:

Fire: Are we back ?
Aca: who !?
Fire: The community
Staff: yes
Fire: Jade !?
Aca: What !?
Fire: where is she ?
Aca: Gone. Jade is "bla bla bla" and left because of....
Fire: because of what !?

I did not reply back. Trust me, I know some really nasty insults but no way im going down to his lvl. I left and asked my self, why the f-ck do I still care !??

I was really tring my best to help out but since that day. Storm was DEAD for me and this thread was created. So don't till me that I owe him an apology !

Anyway, If it was someone else from st0rm posting here, his post would have been deleted in seconds. Ask the spammers how fast I am lol

Go ahead and post your server details as I don't mind at all. Many storm ex-players are here and they check the forum almost daily. Heck, the forum is also getting over 5000 unique visitors/month so you will get new players as well.

BTW, restoring the old database will not get you any donations since everyone who can donate, has donated already but im sure you already know this.

Send my regards to Keran and Nymphetamine if they are still around. If not, then your stuck with two 17 years old kids and you will really need some Good Luck !

Well, i never played in any server before i played in storm, but now i play in mostly all servers and i can say one thing, the worst and unrespectful gm's i ever seen were storm gm's with the exeption of a few from the most.

You misunderstand, my replies to where the donations would go if they were to be received, this time around, were not in order to coerce you into donaiting.
I was merely stating that the mistakes made in the past would not be repeated.

I, of all people, would not ask for your donations. After all, a donation is done by a player, or patron, who feels the server, or network, is deseving of their own personal funds. If you feel the need to state, and trust me I know (and understand) the resement for the server ... or its founding staff better than anyone, your opinions on why you wouldn't, go for it : ))

However, the creating and restoration of the old network isn't to get donations.
The restoration of the old database is more, or less, to give those players who DID donate what they are due (since we are, obviously, unable to return, or refund, any amount of currency in a coinage type faction).

I had, while posting, considered that it would be perhaps wrong to advertise, which is partially what I am doing (more or less, mainly enough, an explanation) the server upon your forums, and I do apologize (none the less) for doing so (thank you also for not deleting it).

I am still, in a sense, questioning my motives (or my sanity) for returning to st0rm after what was lost, and what I had gone throguh in the course of my service to the network ... but, again, for whatever reasons, I have chosen to return (at least for the time being), and am once again serving as the Head GM.
My staff, some have offered to return (others), however the existing consists of : Entity, NightHawk and Nymphetamine.
Aca20031 is serving as the developer, casanova joined the army, and if I'm reporting correctly is currently serving in Iraq.

I sppose, partially, this "reply" is to thank those who have played upon our servers, and network, through whichever/whatever time at all. Your contribution of hours, and quality time have done wonders for the server as it continued to grow, and now grows again.
I am very thankful toward all of you, if not to play you should at least stop by to just say "hi".

A note, I have begun (myself and my sister) to play upon the server l2slayer.com - In retrospect, the only reason I joined this spacific network is because of Basch (who approached me and asked if I would like to tag a long, I believe they are all joining the server also on June 1st), and would have, perhaps, picked a better server.

The server itself was recently updated to Interlude, it has a Gmshop (which, if I'm correct (I actually haven't gotten off Talking Island yet) has a Gmshop in each town), it is a high exp server that (also due to the announcements when someone dies) appears to be purely PVP driven.

The server is a bit laggy sometimes, not overly bad, it may also be that it does not lag at all and it is simply my connection (I play on a laptop with wireless, so haha?) I cannot see who else is there, yet.

I, mainly, went because ... it is nice to play somewhere and not have to fix the bugs, or the problems, that may arise and to simply "play".

My name, there, is Ducky (and like mentioned, is shared with my sister, who's name is Missy). I believe she posted her picture on the forum, or pictures? I don't know, she's one of those "picture" people who take a billion and one pictures of themselves every 2.3 seconds.
I frankly don't care enough to take pictures all the bloodly time.

But, haha, that tells you where I am if you want to say "hi" that way, or perhaps come play with me.
I am also playing on st0rm, but it is sometimes hard to play on your own server as that people will accuse you of editing yourself, and I have had quite enough drama related to st0rm for my liking.

Well since jade has covered everything else I think I'll just focus on defending myself since i appear to need defending...

I never developed on the old server, that was all Casanova, my work was not in L2j.

As for your IRC post, my name is never "Aca" it's always aca20031, in your post my name some how changes to "Staff:" with no explanation, I never use !? like that, as you can see I like to type properly, and finally I don't just shout out YOUR MOM in reply. Furthermore I can find no logs of a conversation with a user named "Fire". Either that was not me and a pretender, or you made that up which is quite insulting.

Wilo I can't defend, he made some stupid mistakes and choices and judge him as you will, but the game is back so for those of you who want to have fun and want to know why our server was such a big deal, feel free to join us. No pressure to donate, unless you want to increase the cap from 50, which at the moment we do not need.

Everyone know's the fact that Gm's of storm are punesh of idiots kidds and are the worst most of them except Keran and Nymphetamine, no more exception. Insulting people by storm gm's is just a normall thing. i always fighted with Gm's in storm and i even sow a gm insulting a gm, in storm lol :crazy:

Jade just confirm what the Admin said in the post, so the Admin wasnt lieing about the whole thing so why should he lie about you then unless you did something...

I can prove by asking people of this forum to check storm forum, the one running online now and see how people insult each other in so mean way and no Admin's o Mod's say anything.

I wouldn't say that "st0rm is worst GMs", in retrospect we were very good GMs.
The trainees may have been poor, but the main GM staff was almost never insulting. I might not be the friendliest person to deal with, but that is because I hold everyone to high standards. If I do not push my staff hard, then they will be weak.

"Insults" never come from being mean, they come from calm reply, over and over again till the lining snaps and a mean word breaks through the norm. I remember you, I've dealt with you on many occasions both good and bad, you cannot stand there and "insult" the community itself for actions that were not NOT committed by yourself toward a GMstaff. You began, on many occasions, the insulting which resulted in reply.

Normally I stress professionalism over all else, it was why I had rules, and it was why I kept faith with the server. I held the players over my own well being, and may times put myself before them before my own motives. The server may have gone down, but the GMs were not the problem, you should look higher in the chain of "command".

I will not say I am not to blame, I do lose my temper at times.
I admit I am a bitch, but at the same time I am proud of that very fact though it does hurt when others call me it, double standards I know.

I have been on many L2 servers, and though I will agree that some of my staff were, in fact, assholes ... you can't say we were, or are, the worst out there for I have seen much, much worse.


I haven't anything left to say, that was my "two cents" worth.

Look Jade, as you said we had bad and good history and you know most of it was good and if you wasn't in the server as a head gm, i would'nt stay for long time.

Im defending the Admin simply becasue he isn't online now and telling some facts and some experience i carry, you know well that Fire Work's on the low rate server rate so hard...

Once someone insulted me in mirc and the mirc was full of gm's and i didnt reply to the person who insulted me and i was suprized, Casanova was laughing and didnt did anything.... i asked him why he didnt took action, he said you can insult a player if you want..

The idea is you have to put some rules and punshments for people who insult other people specialy gm's, in other servers, in most servers players who insult other would be banned, so imagine if its a gm insulting a player...

Im not a kid im 24 years old and have my postion and my own believes, i wont insult people but if i have to i can be so mean.

I'll usually stop arguments like that but you also have to think thats its up to people to defend themselves in the real world. GMs aren't parents or principals, a simple insult should be dealt with.

I hate replying with only a few words, however ... Casanova was an asshole.
I said it, and there it is. We might have liked him, he might have been a decent developer (not really), but he kept the server online when we were without a developer so at least I must be thankful for that ... otherwise, Casanova was an asshole.

I never ever banned someone, or allowed someone to be banned for simply insults. If there was exceeded abuse to a certain persons of race, I may have allowed my staff to imprison the offender in jail for short periods of time but that was only after repeated offenses.

The mIRC server is TOTALLY different than in-game affairs.

Also yes, I am aware that the low rate server was mainly Fire and that, looking back, he perhaps should have been given more power to assist (and perhaps I should have helped him more, but was focused elsewhere) him and his players that he cared very much for.
He was a very good GM and an asset that will be missed, both by the network team and by the players.


Furthermore, for what aca has said. I will admit that when I read "Your Mom" that doesn't sound like something Aca would have said to anyone, he normally is very professional in the use of his language. That sounds like something Wilo would say, that actually sounds just like wilo with the use of "?!" and "YOUR MOM", so I believe the blame to whom is in the wrong needs to be shifted.

I've just run out of thought about what I was going to say, so I'll have to stop here for now. haha.

Then ignore them, GMs are there to fix game issues and make it run smoothly, report bugs, and keep a general level of control. Simple insults and fudes...you can ignore them. If they go over the line then report them

Calling you the "Worst Developer" seem's to be a mistake since you had nothing to do with l2j development. So, this will be removed from the original thread along with the NCsoft issue.

As for mIRC, I don't make things up and I typed it down as I recall it. The channel was full of all the old GM's including wilo and some known players.

Was it you or was it someone else. Im really over it and its history now.
