First of all: I saw a player's name on the forum of DexterNet. I had the feeling I knew this name. I checked, and there she was... on the forum of TheMOB. So I posted a PM to her. As it follows:

Yeah, I know MOB rules. It does. Too bad on the server I'm GM on we don't have enough people. Actually whe have less than 30. Too bad, It's a great server. No cheats work there. All you see is real thing.

I think its pretty low to send a GM to another server to spam players. I would fire any GM who would stoop to this, actually I have for less. But this is shady dude, and I don't appreciate shady dealings like this.


This is being sent to multiple players on MY FORUM... where hes still an active user/player, which kinda sucks for you also, since GM's really should be loyal to their one server.


Please have him stop using my forum to promote your server. I will also be sending this to him at my forum and making sure he reads it, since he is still an active user there as well as in my game... Loyalty makes a good server and a good GM team. As you are new, thats the best advice I can give you.

OK, from my point of view this is WRONG!!! As you know, many players visit MANY servers! As I do and did and will do!!! Just for experiance, ideas, impressions. What is wrong with you people? You can't be so egocentric. I have done nothing wrong. Yes, I was talking about [CENSORED], so what? Now you are going to tell me what to say and what not? Was I rasist? NO! Was I sexist? NO! Did I offend people by saying names and stuff? NO!!! So? I don't see the point. What about this so called FREEDOM OF SPEECH? I live in a country where communists held the power many years. One had the right to remain silent. One had the obligation to do so. Otherwise one could go to jail and rott there many years. And NO, I DID NOT SPAM PLAYERS! I just checked my outgoing mail list. Nothing. The only PM I sent was for Kitsune. Who took it personal. I did this coz I saw Kitsune's name on a forum. I was wondering if they are the same person. Apparentrly no, but I'm still not sure. And so what if...? Kitsune did nothing wrong. One should have the right to do whatever one whants. Unless you brake the law. But I will not go further than this. You all know what you do when you play L2 on other servers than retail.

Anyhow. I consider myself someone who playes fair, don't PK all day long, only for revenge, give out stuff I worked for a lot (+17 SOM on mob and many more!!!) without expecting one to even thank, helping where I can. On MOB you don't see everyday this. I got PKd LOADS of times, so what? It's a game. I'm no kid not to make a difference between a game and real life.

And you know what? In spite of the fact that your server is OK, I WILL NOT PLAY HERE ANYMORE!!! TONIGHT, AT 1900 CET, I will log in and DONATE all my stuff to other players. actually I will throw my stuff away and let them pick up. This in case if Gen will not help organizing a small mass PvP event for playes at max 70 level. The winner gets all. Just to be fair, just that you won't have the chance to say that I have someone special in mind to share with. Than, I will delete all my toons and DELETE the host file. And BTW: Last time I logged in was like 2 weeks ago when the server i play on was tempor. offline.

Happy now? I hope you are. I don't want to crawl back, I'm not the type.

So long players of L2, have fun and don't live in L2 world. Remember, it's a game. If you let down the guard, it will dominate your life. GET REAL.

I think people should have a chance of reading the rules before they decide if they want to play on the server or not :rolleyes: ...but that's off-topic.

You should link this thread to the one you posted in the Private Server's section about the Mob server. It would be like a warning or something ;)

There is a common rule on the internet that is well know, it does not require to be posted in Rules anymore. Do Not Spam is a well known thing.

Gen took it serios as any admin/owner would take spam threats. You sent DexterNet a pm and you thought you knew him. Turns out he is not the guy your thinking of, DexterNet pm Gen about the spam pm.

Gen know's that not everyone has the time to report spam, so she assume you sent mass pm spam and only one got reported. The fear of losing her players that she worked hard for kick's in, so she takes action.

You have to put yourself in her shoe. Imagine if someone come's here and start pm members about his own forum or his friends forum and you know how hard we worked on THIS forum including you !

My point is, this is a simple missunderstanding that went wrong and got escalated. You have the right to pm/email friends but not strangers, pm-ing online strangers for advertisement purposes is called Spam. You thought you knew the guy but its not your guy, so it was your mistake, not Gen, not DexterNet.

Anyway, thats my personal point of view as an Admin.

pm/email is designed so that u can talk to ppl, if u dont like that, im sure theres some way to block ppl on pm, im certain there is on email. as such, if some1 sends u something u dont like, or seems to be spamming u, just block them.....and if that person is spamming everyone on a forum, eventually everyone will have blocked them=no more spam (and u can delete unwanted files....) if an admin dosnt like ppl using pms, dont put the ability to use them in...

You know, you are damn right Rami. I thank you for your support (tehnical and moral), I really needed this. I had a day to think about it. Today I cantacted Gen and I told her that it was a huge misunderstanding. Anyhow, I don;t want to go back even if I just LOVE that server. I am to proud to do that, it is against my principles. But I may create a different account, a new toon and take a look once in awile how's stuff working.

I have news. I did not get banned. We agreed it was a HUGE misunderstanding. Phew, you have no idea how glad I am. The sad thing is I donated almost all my stuff. Only my Dark Crystal robe set and the +20 SOM remained. I even donated my jewels. And I worked damn hard on those. Oh well, life goes on, I will forget about the jewelery, I'll get new ones. They were used anyways :D.

Because of this little scandal most of them got to know me. Well, many of them knew me before this but... anyhow, the old players WILL NOT pk me, the new ones will know me when they can't kill me. Yesterday evening I remembered I had another toon there with lots of stuff. I used it as a WH since my WH on my main was full :) AND I HAD SOME NICE JEWELERY THERE. Not +12 like the others, but, still.
