question about being a blade dancer

Hi everbody!

I just ordered LineAge 2 C5 today, and with 2, 3 weeks I can play!
But I do got 2 questions, I would like to be a blade dancer, and the race required for that is a dark elf...And I've read somewhere that a dark elf is a bad choice for a beginner..I don't got a clue why, he didn't say that..
I would like to know if that's true..

I've also read somewhere that the blade dancer is more an assist..
is that true too? Although I do like partying I also want to solo now and then..

I've never heard that a Dark Elf is bad for beginners, my first char was a dark elf!
It is kinda an assist char. But I guess you could use it as an assist or solo.
Most people wanna party with you if you're a BD wich can be good, could help you lvl faster.
I like them, there really fun to play with and you have you're own buffs!:D

The only thing I don't like is that I just found out you can download Lineage 2 C5 for free..and I ordered it for €19,99, which is about the same as $19,99.
It isn't that expensive I know, but still I hope I can cancel my order, cause I rather have it for free, and when my download's finshed I can start playing..and if I've had waited for my order I had to wait 2 to 3 weeks..
Hopefully I can cancel my order since I don't need 2 versions.

I would cancel the order if I were you. You can download the game for free and it wouldn't take more than a day to do so.

Blade dancer is more like a buffer and a support character. There is nothing wrong in starting out with a blade dancer.

I just found something else on the internet: Another recent feature of C1, is that if you are a healer, and assist someone who is fighting, you will turn purple as well.

And the purpleness means you have a higher risk of dying, which I don't want of course..
So I got another question: do you also get the purpleness as a blade dancer, when I fight with one? And when you assist someone with a blade dancer?

When you hit someone without inviting to duel, you get purple. If you kill him too, you get red, which means you're chaotic. You get purple too if you heal or buff a purple guy or a mob. When purple, other players can rip you without becoming chaotics, they only get purple too.

If u dance, and someonbe in ur party is red/purple, ull go purple too...... but then again, if someone in ur party IS red/purple, in all likelyhood, theres no reason for u not to join them (ur most likely to be in a pvp situation anyways)

Thanks for the help..but I wanted to know something else..
I want to know if you get purple/red too if you fight a monster with a blade dancer. And if you get purple/red if you assist someone who isn't purple or red.
That's what I wanted to know..

pvp/pk status is reserved for when u kill/attack another player or aid a mob against a player, never for when u aid another (non-pvp/pk) player or kill a mob
