Black Screen

My friend has the following problem, he downloaded lineage game and installed it and when he open the game the screen turns black and he has to restart the computer, i sent him my system file and he deleted the old one and added the one i sent him, and the problem still the same, he downloaded the game and deleted it many times and same thing... Anyone know what the problem might be and why the screen turns black ?

I had the same problem once. I changed my video card, updatad the driver and worked like a charm.

Yes, ask him to download the latest setup version for his video card.

Hum, he downloaded the latest versoin many times, maybe its driver problem and the real problem he dont want to update the driver.

I might be able to help if you post the Video Card type... :think:

Make sure he has Directx latest version installed. You never know :maybe:

make sure to have the latest DX version installed. Make sure all GPU drivers are up-to-date. If they are but problem continues, try downgrading the drivers, or, changing your graphics card. You can play l2 even with a very cheap one. It can't be a problem with the client installation, I think.

bleh although i dont have a full black screen... MY LINEAGE 2 IS XXX TO!!! :(:( ive been playing it FINE for the last 2-3 weeks :(:( but now i wanna start it up and suddenly.......................................... .................................................. .................................................. ................. my SCREEN IS XXXXXX its like all flashing and going crazy and everything is like zoomed in 10x!!! so like the little login+password sqaure thingy wich is usually in the middle of ur screen, is now my complete screen -,- and it goes crazys with parts of the backgrounds flashing through my screen and stuff :/

since it cant be my driver or graphic card cuz i played fine for some weeks -.- WTF OMG :(:(:( i already did "check files" cuz that screen still works fine, but once it goes to the fullscreen login screen it freakzzz im going mad :(:( just had 2% to lvl up :(:(:(

maybe ur friend should check his driver,i remember at least directx 9.0 is required.also maybe he should adjust resolution.

@epion press alt-enter, then go options->settings or w/e it is when it opens up and check the resolution etc. (oh, and plz keep the language clean^^)
