Im thinking of getting this game and i want to be an archer, are the archers in this game good? Are they fun and fairly simple to play?

I think they're very good, I mean it kinda depends on what server you play on.
But they're fun too, and not that hard to use. :D

What do you mean depends on which server? Why would it matter what server? What server would be best?

Well, I think on different servers different classes are better.

How could a server define how successful a class would be? Unless you mean like there is a very low amount of rangers on that server so then you wont be successful but I dont think there will be that much of a difference.

Well, I don't think the server would have a big difference, unless the owner has modified the characters skill's, which is very rare.

Archers are always good as they can take both tankers and mage, if buffed correctly and with some support. The most used tactic is Hit & Run.

Well, actually it does. For exemple: if you introduce the Boss Jewels in shops, mages have a great chance to be overpowered. :explain: This can happen with Dyes also. +4 -4 dyes in the shop also overpowers the mages. And the list can go on.

theoretically, an archer shouldnt be able to take a tank(well, not a hell knight anyways) unless VERY well supported

When you level is it better/faster to just kill random mobs for xp or do quests for xp? How do i learn how to be a scout/ranger, what level(s)?

This is a very stupid question, where do i buy arrows? Ive checked many places.

I think killing mobs gives the best xp, but a quest can help now and again....the first class change comes at lvl 20, the second at lvl 40, and the 3rd at lvl 76. arrows, well, at least NG arrows, and i think D grade ones(tho im not certain)can be bought in npc shops. for more advanced arrows, ull have to go to a private store, or see if u can get them off a mob (i seem to be very good at this on high xp rate-low drop rate servers:P)

Someone told me that it is better to go melee till 40 then you switch to bow, is that true? If i do this what should i do with my SP points? Savethem up?

Yes, I've seen some archers train with a Dagger until lvl 40. Then you would have enough arrows "Drops" and you get to start learning the better skills for the Bow weapon. Use your SP to learn skills.

You can buy arrows in the shop where they sell weapons. Talk to the NPC's (computer characters) there.
For XP is killing mobs better, however I like doing quests and the game's goal is to have fun.
