Do Swordsingers suck?

Well I'm currently playing a level 5x swordsinger, and when I was looking for a party, someone said to me, "Don't dream of finding a party, swordsingers suck. All you can do is give some useless buffs."

Swordsingers are great at party but you'll need a bishop aswell for healing and such...

xiaoxing93, We won't lie to you here. If swordsinger sucks, then we will till you it sucks.

It does not suck and the guy you met is really a noob. SwordSingers have great buffs and always wanted in party.

SwordSingers got uber-gimped into interlude (maybe it was the same in c5) when all your songs got 2 mins duration, on top of the cumulative singing effect. Its not a case of noone wants you in a party, its a case of "yes, we want you, but we also need an EE that recharges your mana and yours alone". Same is true for bladedancers. However, when you have songs in your buff list, you will definitely notice the difference-vengance, renewal, champion, water, wind, earth-all VERY useful buffs, kind of on the defensive side more than a bladedancer, but that's elves for you. Obviously, the guy ou talked to has never experienced songs used to their best effect. And anyway, can you really imagine games designers introducing a worthless class?
