My Experience:
* Name: Trader
* Character: Spoiler lvl 64 now.
* Players: Most of the players are friendly but some high lvl players are bored, therefore will pk your ass for fun, so watch your back out there.
* Weapons: No GmShop and a B grade boots would cost at least 100.000.000 adena.
* Recipes: Very rare drops and thats what make's weapons so expensive.
* Material: Its also rare drops and expensive.
* Market: Giran is the best place to buy and sell, but everything is very expensive.
* Mobs: Very hard in places such as TOI. You need a big party if you want to go there.
* Raid Boss: Hard raid bosses so you need a big party which is very normal for a big server like this.
* Donations: I find it expensive and the rewards are not worth it but thats my personal opinion. Specially the 50kk and 100kk rewards which would cost you some good cash in euro but in game can't buy you B grade Boots !! The weapons are also not worth the euro price because if you are high lvl, you can assemble a good party and go huntting raid bosses.
* Events: Very poor events and completely unorganized. They call you to come to Giran Arena and by the time you get there, participation is over. You also might get in jail if you sit and watch the event ! Beside from getting in jail, its also useless to join because they always reward ONE player at the end, which is kind of stupid when you have so much players coming to your event.
* GM Staff The one time I needed GM Help, no one was online but they do login from time to time. The only problem I see is that they ignore scammers. They say its your problem if get scammed and they refuse to ban or even talk to the scammers. Due to this, the server has become full of scammers, especially in Giran market.
Notes: :
1) Almost all high lvl mobs are set Aggressive on this server and hard to kill. So, you can't lvl alone and you need a party.
2) Good drops are rare and simply not worth wasting time because even if you get lucky with some B/A grade Recipes. You still can't craft anything because Materials also drop rarely which make's the market prices very high.
Recommendations:
Set your mobs to drop more materials. It would be cheap materials but very rare recipes. This way NEW players don't have to play for months to craft a B grade set ! It would also fix the high prices in the market.
You realy need to work alot on your events. At least do your events in the Coliseum, it was created for events !!! Its stupid to ask so many players to come to such a small arena outside giran !
Make PVP events in away that you create 2 teams. Each team is 20 players for example. The 2 teams fight in the Coliseum and the winner team gets a reward such as ancient adena, rare recipes, enchant armorb or a...etc
You should offer unique rewards for donators, rewards that players can't get in game, such as 20+ weapon or an extra subclass...etc

This is my personal opinion so feel free to post your own opinion here if you play/played on l2max server. Anyway, after getting in jail for standing and watching an event, I decided to move on and play on other servers.
