2 servers in same time
Hi all!
how can I play on 2 servers in same time?
Official and 1 free server.
The free server is no patch, it's an IP host, so I don't know how I can do it.
can anyone please help me...?
Thank you very much

Never thought of that really. I don't think it would work if you install the game twice in different folders. I don't think u can play both at the same.
Anyway, if any of you guys know's a way do it, educate us please

Actually...if you have an IP host ...you probably will have problems in login...
something like... I had st0rm host file in some comps here...them I changed L2C4 (st0rm)to L2C5(official)....couldn't connect to Official till I removed the ip from the host file...

You don't need to copy any system files, just use notepad to edit the hosts file.. when you want to play on the free server your hosts file should look like this:
--------
127.0.0.1 localhost
FreeServer'sIP L2authd.lineage2.com
--------
and when you want to connect on the official change it like this:
--------
127.0.0.1 localhost
#FreeServer'sIP L2authd.lineage2.com
--------
the # mark will tell windows "don't look at that line".
If you want to play on both servers at the same time(have 2 lineage2 windows open at the same time on different servers) i think you could login on one server, choose a character and enter the world, change the hosts file and start the second lineage2..
Btw, i tried a windows emulator(don't remember a name) with some version of linux mandrake and it didn't have suport for 3D applications.. the emulator didn't have directX and it couldn't be installed either.

As far as i know, nope.. but i tried a freeware or a shareware windows emulator and it wasn't 100% completed either.. maybe there are professional windows emulators.. you could also try VMWare that's a PC emulator.. so u have to install windows in VMWare, i didn't get vmware running on my linux tho.. i guess i'm too noob at linux.

hmm it might be for a while.. but when the gameguard is updated by NCSoft you'd have to sun the game on the HDD to get the gameguard updated and then burn it again... another thing is that the dvd might break into pieces after a few days of playing cd's/dvd's aren't ment to take that much stress.
Games that can be played from cd's usually install most of the files still on your HDD and keep only background music and videos on the cd/dvd..

If you want to play lineage and work in linux, the best way would be having both linux and windows installed and have LILO or GRUB ask you what OS you want to use when you start the computer.
It might be anoying at first but you'd get used to it.. i have Windows 2000 and windows XP 64bit edition both installed for example... windows 2000 doesn't have remote desktop, maybe it can be installed but i'm too lazy to search, i use remote desktop on XP64 to access my server but lineage2 doesn't work on 64bit windows so i have to play lineage2 on win2000.
I use the windows boot manager(or what ever it's called) but linux distros use either LILO or GRUB to manage the booting... there are tutorials on google on how to setup linux and windows at the same time.
